Our mission at McGilvray Veterinary Hospital is to understand your pet needs and provide accurate guidance and advice. We can help you with numerous concerns, from puppy and kitten advice to behavioural and dietary consults to end of life discussions. We can also assist with determining the urgency of a situation and deciding whether your pet requires immediate care or whether you can wait to see your regular veterinarian or alternatively provide some management at home.

McGilvray Veterinary Hospital was built in 1948 by Dr. Roy McGilvray. As medical, surgical, and dental procedures have evolved over the years, so has the commitment to provide the most up-to-date diagnostic techniques and treatment for your pets. The hospital has been an accredited member of the American Animal Hospital Association since 1950 . Compliance requires very high standards of practice with regular hospital inspections. We are proud of the fact that among our four veterinarians, we have over 70 years of clinical practice experience.

Meet the Veterinarians & Team of McGilvray Veterinary Hospital in Toronto! We’re pleased to provide exceptional vet care for your pets!
Dr. Owen graduated from The Ontario Veterinary College in 1979. He has practiced at McGilvray Veterinary Hospital since then, and became a partner at the hospital in 1990. Dr. Owen’s areas of interest include rigid & flexible endoscopy, internal medicine, and dermatology. He is an avid cyclist, golfer, and enjoys the culinary arts.
Dr. Marks graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and later completed an internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York. Dr. Marks became a partner in 2005, and his interests include surgery, regenerative medicine, emergency medicine, and oncology.
Dr. Kamula graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2017. The majority of her experience is in small animal general practice where she has spent the past two years working in Toronto and is looking forward to joining the McGilvray team. In the past, she has been involved in community outreach in many different cities around Ontario.
Dr. Adriana Olijnyk is a veterinary graduate of The Royal Veterinary College in London, England. Prior to this, she attended Queen’s University to obtain an honours B.Sc in Biology, and a M.Sc in Biology. Adriana’s interests include internal medicine, pain management, and palliative care for her senior patients. Ensuring her patients are pain-free and comfortable in their golden years is her top priority.
